Even though the first licensed female pilot appeared on Earth more than 100 years ago, the number of female pilots is still quite small throughout the world. Currently, the only way for a woman to become a pilot in Korea is to attend the Republic of Korea Air Force Academy. Due to discrimination toward female pilots, becoming one has become difficult. However, the Air Force has decided to increase the number of female pilots. By diversifying the methods for women to join the Air Force, they will select 10 female college students and train them as pilots.
